Various Geriatric Patients
Patient Story
There are several geriatric patients who simply needed the mattress for comfort measures. One case involved a man who had not slept in bed for a number of months related to pain. The AIM Hybrid was provided and the patient stated he was he actually slept and was able to get out of bed with much less discomfort. There are additional geriatric male patients who were admitted to Hospice who were unable to rest. The AIM Hybrid was added to their treatment measures with much of the same reported results. Sleeping better and able to be more mobile related to improved comfort.
This mattress has shown great success with this particular population. They are complicated with end of life cares and multiple co-morbidities and at times resistance to using a mattress, because so many of these offloading mattresses are not particularly comfortable. This has proven to aid in healing and comfort.
